KEEP YOUR SMILE HEALTHY, STRONG, AND BEAUTIFUL
I will help you keep your smile healthy, strong, and beautiful with restorative dentistry and replacement teeth (prosthetics). Even if you brush and floss regularly, your teeth and mouth can incur decay, damage, and disease. We prefer to find these problems early, when corrective treatment is conservative. However, even if you have not seen a dentist in years, there is hope for your smile!
When decay eats away healthy tooth structure, the best solution is usually a composite resin filling. I tint composite resin to blend seamlessly with existing tooth structure, so the filling is virtually invisible. Composite fillings also contain no metal or mercury, so you can feel confident in their safety.
Placing a composite resin filling involves removal of tooth decay and preparation of the cavity. ThenI tint a bit of resin to match the affected tooth. After placing the resin in the cavity, the filling is hardened with a curing light. The filling is sculpted to fit well within the patient's bite, then polished to a nice shine.
Root Canal Therapy
When a tooth’s nerve is damaged, the entire tooth can die and create a risk for infection. At this point, your only option is extraction or, if possible, a root canal. While it may sound intimidating, a root canal actually relieves pain caused by the swelling and tenderness from infection.
If a root canal is recommended to salvage your tooth, anesthesia will first be administered to keep you comfortable throughout the procedure. Then the pulp will be removed from within your tooth’s canal and replaced with manmade material. The procedure is finished with an esthetic crown to protect your tooth indefinitely.
Don’t live with the pain of a dying tooth.
Partials and Prosthetics
If you’re missing multiple teeth, a lifelike partial denture can close the gaps and complete your smile. Your partial will consist of teeth that reflect light similarly to natural enamel, secured on a gum-colored base. With hidden clasps, your new partial will return your smile’s full beauty.
When you visit our office for a partial, impression of your bite will be taken. From this, your partial denture will be created to fit seamlessly in place. You deserve your smile back – the beauty, the function, the quality of life.
